Dumbo

delete1-1delete2

I spent Memorial Day shooting a project with my friend Daniela (who also shot these photos) and despite the sweltering heat and the fact that I was wearing one too many layers of clothing, I managed to really enjoy exploring the cobblestone streets of Dumbo, one of my new favorite places thanks to the Sunday weekly Smorgasburg food fair in Brooklyn. If you happen to attend on an upcoming Sunday, some of my must-try favorites are:

1. Dough (for the ‘cafe au lait’ donut)

2. Oaxaca Tacos

3. Home Frite

4. Goa Taco

5. Alchemy Creamery

I would suggest getting there early because the lines for the aforementioned get VERY long or they run out of food the quickest. The area is so picturesque, as it overlooks the Manhattan bridge and the city from a very close, waterfront angle. Particularly on the weekends now that it’s summertime, Brooklyn Bridge Park is lively and the perfect place to either lay on the grass for a while with some ice cream or have some lemonade at the nearby Lizzmonade.

Hope you all enjoyed your MDW! x
