The Yoga Collective

If you follow me on social media or if you know me, you know that I love yoga. It’s my favorite thing to do for stress and to relieve tension, and I find that it really helps me with my other workouts like Pilates, spinning and barre. Sometimes when I can’t make it to the studio, I try to do yoga at home, but I’m not very disciplined about it when I’m not listening to an instructor. Enter The Yoga Collective. They are a Venice Beach-based studio that offers all of their practices online, led by one of their many experienced instructors. The site contains a variety of flows including Power, Vinyasa, Meditation and classes that are designed specifically to strengthen the core, detox or improve flexibility — the best part is that you can attend class without leaving your house. Although I’m a huge fan of going to the studio or the gym and being present there, I also have days where it’s more difficult to make it to class and that’s when their online yoga classes help me the most. My absolute favorite practice offered is “Fire It Up!” because it involves all of my favorite core work, plus squats (always important). Their membership is $12 a month (basically what you pay for Netflix) – or you can do the whole year for $130 (what you would pay for one month at Equinox!!). They also offer free online yoga so you can familiarize yourself with poses and stretches.

I’m excited to offer TWO free 1-year memberships to The Yoga Collective, all you have to do is:

  1. Follow @miamitomanhattan on Instagram
  2. Find the photo above on my account and comment with your favorite yoga pose!

A winner will be selected by April 15th, 2015. Good luck! 🙂
